SPECIAL ADVANTAGE FEATURES              

Shinko RB8 model has automatic multi-valve (3) (governor valve) control which ensures smooth operation from low-partial loads to max load. 3 valves open and close successively in 3 steps through Governor actuator lever and beam-lift construction, thus eliminating the need for manual hand operated nozzle valve. This automatic multi-valve control eliminates governor valve hunting and reduces wearing down of the governor valve stem. 

Turbine is of in-between bearing type. The rotor shaft is supported by liner bearings.         

Turbine rotor is of solid construction design where rotor wheel is machined to size instead of the conventional shrink-fitted built-up design.                  

Turbine shaft is sealed by labyrinth packing which is more efficient and durable as compared to carbon rings. The latter need to be replaced on each turbine service.   

Steam ejector to extract gland leakage steam from packing gland - to avoid leakage steam get into oil sump and contaminate the lubrication oil.                         

Turbine shaft is installed with axial movement sensor, an extra protection feature, to trip the turbine due to excessive axial movement caused by excessive thrust created by wet steam or water carry over.                  

Lubrication oil strainer is cleanable stainless steel mesh type without disposable filter element, thus lower maintenance costs, more economical and environmentally friendly.                 

Maintenance free flexi disc pack coupling is used instead of gear teeth coupling. Gear teeth coupling worn off easily and needs regular maintenance and frequent replacement.        

Shinko steam turbine is fully manufactured, assembled and tested with life steam in Shinko factory before shipment. This will ensure that the TG is aligned and assembled properly, thus avoiding vibration and misalignment problem at site.
